John Alexander CRAWFORD
What an excellent site. My brother John was attached to 1st AFH from March to Oct in 1971. John later died in a car accident in Brisbane in 1976. Does anyone have any photos or info they could share with me please of his time in SVN? I would really be most grateful.

Driver 85/86 Ingleburn
I was posted to 1 Field as a driver. It was not long after the new Mack trucks were bought into service. After coming from a transport unit it was certainly an interesting change. I have many fond memories of my time spent at the unit. I was lucky enough to drive the Units entry in the "Gummi" race down at Wagga for 2 years running. I was for a while the CO,s driver for Lt Col "Bumper" Farrel. He was one of the best CO.s I ever had. A lot of characters also. Evo, Jock, Ando,Terry Fuller,Mick painter, Rick Hoier, Filthy Fulford just to name a few. "Iergem"? day was a huge thing also. In December of last year I was down Ingleburn way and took a drive through the area. Nothing remains of the unit as I last saw it. Theres not a lot of any thing left. Look forward to hearing from any one else who was around at the same time. In the mean time I will become a member of call sign "Vampire"

Researcher
I am interested in medical science and military science. I have cited the efforts of Australian Vietnam Vets in the past with my research. I am interested in the Australia Defence College and foreign policy in East Asia which started the Vietnam War, and which had to be ended by Western policies on democracy. Confusing, and contradicting, I always honor veterans and their families due to these standards of war which our nations fight. My research involves audio-visual archeology, screenplay technical editing, foreign policy, international law and treaties, and international business. I hope the best for all veterans willing to keep fighting and honoring their fellow comrands.

Have not seen or heard from anyone that I served with in SVN since coming home in 1968. Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me and would like to find out how to join the association. Have been a workaholic & not socialised over the years but would like to catch up. My partner Sue & I reside in Epsom Victoria. I am TPI & work as a pension officer at Central Victorian Veterans' Support Centre (Bendigo).
